Swebus could work as well. Then you would go from Malmö (route 832) to Jönköpng (instead of Nässjö) and continue from Linköping. Catching the first and last bus of the day would however only give you a 3,5 h time window for all you need to do in the area, which might be difficult.
Another option is to go by bus to Jönköping, rent a car, and then continue by train from Linköping to Sthlm (around 200 SEK).
